Welcome To
Cache Creek

On route to the gold fields, exhausted travelers often sought refuge near a small creek at a halfway point where they could “cache” some of their belongings over night. Today, Cache Creek is the halfway stop for the modern explorer on the historic Gold Rush Trail, offering plenty of choices for a fine meal and good nights rest. For those modern travelers more interested in cars than wagons and buggies, be sure to check out the racetrack south of town and the “Old Time Drags & Graffiti Days” held in June.
